With a limited number of places still available for the LH Martin Institute’s 2009 Senior Strategic Leadership Program we encourage you to consider participation in this challenging and professionally rewarding program.
Intended for senior academic leaders at the level of Dean/Executive Dean or Pro-Vice Chancellor and senior administrators, this innovative one week program focuses on establishing strategic direction in the current dynamic tertiary education environment and engaging others in the future direction of the organisation.
Utilising guest speakers, master classes, development groups, drama and case studies, program highlights include the opportunity to work in a small group environment with tertiary sector leaders and analysts including:
- Emeritus Professor Bill Massy, President of the Jackson Hole Higher Education Group and former Vice-President, Stanford University.
- Emeritus Professor John Hay, (Mentor in residence), Chair LH Martin Institute Advisory Board, Chair ALTC, Vice-Chancellor, University of Queensland 1996 - 2007;
- Professor Sue Richardson, National Institute of Labour Studies, Flinders University
- Professor Lynn Meek, Director, LH Martin Institute

- Leadership through Drama, with Professor John O’Toole and the Complete Works Theatre Company
Through this program participants can expect to:

- Develop a greater understanding of the challenges facing the global tertiary sector.

- Work with colleagues on ways of addressing individual leadership challenges.
- Enhance effectiveness in making change happen.
- Reflect on the appropriateness of individual leadership style.
- Extend the range of useful tools and techniques to help in addressing leadership challenges.
Based at the Quay West Hotel (Southbank, Melbourne) participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy Melbourne’s cultural precinct and fine food.
