A specialist short course for staff with budget and resource responsibilities

To be an effective leader in tertiary education requires a specialised understanding of the organisation and how it operates, integral to this understanding are the financial systems which support the organisations activities.

This two day program, Budgeting & Financial Management for the Education Sector, has been designed to assist senior staff, with budget and resource management responsibilities, enhance their understanding of financial systems, tools and processes, and optimise their use in improved management and strategic planning. It will also assist tertiary leaders communicate more effectively with financial specialists.

Specifically tailored to the tertiary education environment, and utilising a series of related case studies, the course will focus on participants’ individual responsibilities in relation to the topics covered. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of how various financial decisions impact on departments, faculties and the organisation as a whole.
